Valentines Day

It’s only just time for Christmas, but before you know it, the next significant holiday will be on the horizon. Believe it or not, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, which means that if you have a significant other for whom you would like to do something special, it’s just about time to start planning. After all, Valentine’s Day is all about being original and romantic, and coming up with something new and exciting to do with your loved one can make it a truly special year for the holiday. Of course, you probably also want to go through the basics – maybe head to Marks & Spencer for a box of chocolates and/or a nice bouquet of flowers. Such gifts and gestures never go out of fashion. However, you may also want to consider something a bit more exciting and different this year.

Fortunately, there are tons of activities out there for couples to enjoy. All you need to do is open your mind to them, and you will find that you have plenty of options. For example, consider the London action activity known as Sphereing (or Zorbing), which has caught on in recent years and which is great for couples who are seeking a bit of adventure. In ordinary sphereing, for those who haven’t heard of it, you are essentially strapped with your partner inside a clear spherical ball and then, basically, rolled down a hill. It’s not for the faint of heart, but it’s quite thrilling for those who enjoy such things! There are also a couple of variations on the activity that offer equally thrilling experiences.

Aqua sphereing, for example, is also quite popular as its own activity. Essentially, it is the same thing as ordinary sphereing, except for that your sphere is also filled with up to 30 litres of water, allowing you to splash and slosh around as you roll down the hill. Or, if you truly want to challenge yourself and see how much you can take, you can try “eclipse sphereing,” which is when your sphere, instead of being completely clear, is black, meaning that you have no way of knowing where you’re rolling. All of these activities are fun and unique, and might be great for any couple that’s looking for a fresh adventure this coming Valentine’s Day. After all, the holiday doesn’t have to be all about stuffy romance and practiced routines. Have a bit of fun with your significant other – go sphereing!
